Jorge Dias
Jorge S Dias (b. 1975) is since December 2018 a Researcher at the Chemistry Department, NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT-NOVA). He is a member of the “(Bio)molecular structure and interaction by NMR” research Lab at the Applied Molecular Biosciences Unit (UCIBIO) as an independent researcher and a member of the Research Infrastructure "Portuguese Network in NMR Spectroscopy - PTNMR". Jorge S Dias obtained his PhD in Structural Biochemistry in 2006 (Universidade Nova de Lisboa). From 2015-2018 Jorge S Dias was a Science and Technology Manager of the Research Infrastructure "Portuguese Network in NMR Spectroscopy - PTNMR" supporting the coordinator of the network Eurico J Cabrita. From 2006-2010 he was a Post-Doctoral fellow in the laboratory of Brian F Volkman at the Department of Biochemistry, Medical College of Wisconsin, USA. During the last 5 years as a researcher/Science and Technology Manager Jorge S Dias has published five (5) research papers, is a member of seven (7) funded research projects, plus the research infrastructure PTNMR.. He has taught several classes (undergraduate level, masters and PhD courses) at FCT-NOVA. In 2018 he was an invited assistant professor at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias Escola de Psicologia e Ciências da Vida, Portugal, responsible for the implementation and teaching of the Analytical Chemistry class, theoretical and laboratory class, of the newly Biochemistry degree (bachelors degree).
