Pedro is currently the Coordinator of the Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office at NOVA FCT, supporting the academic and scientific community in the valorisation of knowledge and technology, acting at the interface between Academy and Industry, managing NOVA FCT’s IP Portfolio (patents, trademarks, etc) and helping define strategies for technology development / commercialisation. With a background in environmental sciences, Pedro holds an MsC in Environmental Engineering (University of Aveiro - UA), and has worked as a researcher in environmental economy (UA), as a trainee in the environmental department in the public sector, developing an environmental education program, after that became an environmental advisor in a multinational company in the plastic and metal packaging sector and had a previous experience as a tech support advisor for a company in the mobile technologies sector. Along with all the know-how and curiosity regarding the scientific and technological/industrial areas, Pedro bets on creativity and communication as a way to promote ideas and projects.
